Young Writers Project

Introduction

We Young Writers, an initiative that began in 2016, has a noble aim: to unite children worldwide and develop their potential through a variety of educational and mental health activities.
The focus is on the well-being, education, and care of each individual child, ensuring that every action taken is in their best interest.

One of the remarkable aspects of Young Writers is its engagement with children from vulnerable communities in interactive work and storytelling. Participants are encouraged to write their own fairytales, which are then published in books and distributed through children’s magazines in bookstores. This creative initiative not only allows children to express themselves but also provides a platform for their stories to be shared with a wider audience. parties for people of all ages

On April, 4 2023 Young Writers project was selected by World Literacy Foundation as the best community intervention project in Azerbaijan. The project was presented at the Oxford University.

Goals

Through the project, several important achievements were possible:

  • Psychological State of Children: The project helped evaluate the psychological state of the children. Understanding their emotional well-being is crucial for their overall development and support.
  • Knowledge Horizons: By encouraging children to write and express themselves, the project revealed their real educational levels. It expanded their knowledge horizons and provided insights into their learning experiences.
  • Inspiration for Bigger Projects: The project motivated children to engage in larger initiatives. Their participation increased, and they became more motivated to explore their creativity and contribute to meaningful endeavors.
  • Published Book: The culmination of their efforts resulted in a published book. This book can be shared among all the participating children and can attract new supporters to the project, furthering its impact.

In summary, the storytelling project not only empowered children but also highlighted their unique perspectives, fostering a brighter future for vulnerable youth.
